I video much of my fishing and I sometimes have to edit out the background so people can't steal the spot. Someone is claiming you can easily remove the edits on YouTube so you can see the spots. I think they are full of BS, what do you think? Maybe if you use the YouTube video editing, but I'm use Premier and then uploading to YouTube, video file shouldn't be layered like that. Thanks.

You can't unedit an edit. The source is on your machine and not on youtube.

that's what I thought, didn't think the actual video file would have the layers.

Make sure they can't pull the geotag from Youtube, I'm not sure if it's possible or not. I believe iPhone and iOS geotags video by default, but like I said it might not be there once uploaded to Youtube.

I know that trick from iPhone photos, you can get the geo location unless they ran it through photobucket or had location services off. I have found fishing spots from others that way. :D I'm editing video through Premier, so I don't think it saves any Geo.
