Can you use a track rain tyre for the road for street use?

They are probably not E marked for road use and therefore your car will not pass its annual roadworthiness test or be insured

Also the wear rate will probably be much higher

There is however a very sticky range from Pirelli that are semi race and road legal which I think is the P Zero C

 

P Zero Corsa are DOT approved competititon tires, so I think technically they are street legal in the US, but Pirelli does not recommend them for street use due to compromised wet performance. They are probably good as intermediates when track is neither dry or full wet.

P Zero Corsa System tires are basically the Corsa tires with additional circumferential rain grooves. These are street tires. So you might want to look at the Corsa System tires. They are difficult to find though and come in limited size range.

I have them both for 360 Challenge, but never really used them, because we switched to race on Hoosiers. Corsas are good tires, but no where near as good as racing slicks.
