The speedo and odometer are not in kilometres, not miles (MPH). They may have had DLR's?

I'm not sure about the EPA, DOT and CARB compliance. But I suggest that you read this carefully: http://www.hansenglobal.com/links.html

Especially the EPA and DOT pieces that are covered in the customs documents.

15 years or older (from the build date) you will not have any major issues

This car looks real familiar for some reason - was it on sale recently by a dealer (ecarlink?) in Dallas or is it another blue car that I am thinking of.

Looking into the pics this car has TX plates too.

Bang on, only now you would have to pay an extra $20K plus for the car. It is listed in the Auto Trader for $74,900 Cnd. or approx $66k US. Interested in seeing how the auction ends.

True. I would bet it is a hijacked Ebay account with a drug addicted seller requiring some kind of wire transfer to get the car. It also COULD be the same car being resold, but that is unlikely.

That's true for a US car going to Canada, but I believe the original post is asking about bringing a car from Canada to the US. The 15 year or older exemption is contained in Canada's Registrar of Imported Vehicles code. I don't believe we have a US equivalent.

The use of an aeroplane hanger was what made me think of ecarlink. Looks like the seller didnt bother to take new pictures of the car. The other items on sale on ebay by RJ Diesel and Brake seem to be Cummins and GM parts worth $500. So this is not a car dealer as such. Take care Sean!

I was thinking that the U.S. time limit exempts cars 22 or more years old from our import regs.

They used photos from ecarlinks web address. It's a scam.
