I have a 7:30 flight on Sunday night after the race which gives me about fours after the race to get to the airport. What is the best way to make sure I make my flight?

    Thanks!

Walking is a good bet. The roads will be a parking lot. :)
Best bet is to book a town car or limo. They tend to have better access than regular cabs

Leave on Monday! Seriously, is there any way to change your flight? The problem is not the roads from the City to the airport, it is getting off the island.

I have heard that there are some taxi cabs stands available at the bridges (I think the Concorde and Cosmos bridges - double check me as I am not certain). I have never taken the cabs, I just hang out at the track until the Metro line subsides and then take the Metro...but maybe another F-chatter can comment on the Taxi situation. I imagine the line at the cab stand would be much shorter than at the Metro.

Final alternative...leave your seats prior to the end of the race and position yourself along the fence near the track exit and finish watching the race from there. Not ideal, but you'll have a jump on about 95% of the people who will exit the stands.

Go to Berri-Uqam metro station and take bus route 747. It takes you straight to the airport.

    Good luck!

Check with local chopper folks. Have them pick you up on the island. there are plenty of choppers coming & gowing. Send your luggage from your hotel the day of.

Take the metro the wrong way, towards Longueil. Get off, go upstairs, get right back on. No lines going that direction from the track. Then pick a seat right next to the door on the metro, because at the next stop it's gonna get packed.

Then take the advice of the locals, and get on bus 747.

This is great advice and I'm going to take this advice but I'm a little confused on getting to the station to bus 747. Am I taking the Metro from the track or where do I catch it?

    Thanks for the great advice!

Take the metro from the track. Get off at Berri-Uqum, you don't have a choice. It's the end of the yellow line. It's also the place to catch every other Metro line, and the bus to the airport. Don't know if this is the bus that Bernardo referenced, but it goes straight to the airport. Not sure if they take bus reservations, but might be worth a phone call:
