The commentators said Michael Schumacher looked like he was having problems in the middle of the race, when Rubens Barrichello was on his tail and kept peeking around the side. But, it looks like Schumacher is running pretty strong now at the end of the race. Was he having problems earlier and they cleared up?

More than likely a set of tires that were not working quite up to the rest of the sets.

The Mac's had a nasty day Again! Kimi pitted every second lap while Coultyard was mixed up in every "moment". I don't believe in bad luck but I'm but sure how to describ this year for them. Too bad???

Great drive by MS, not so great from RB. Mr. Monaco's early exit was dissapointing. Sato needs to "back up off this step". Ralf came in second, a close second, which he should be happy with. He wasn't going to win that race no matter how many times they ran it. And for everyone else, thanks for comming, you can get the hell out now.

I don't think Schumi had any problems! He just was saving fuel and his tires IMHO! Ferrari had another strategy then most other teams and again, it seemed to be the right one!! Coming from 6th position to win eventually is nice!! :) And Rubens should have come second really!! Maybe Schumi should have let him pass!!
Ferrari just is unbeatable this season!

I can just hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth to come; usually Ferrari (Michael) wins all the races from the pole, "ruining F1". With MS starting in 6th, finally everyone else has a chance! Not. Now Ferrari is still "ruining F1", even from 6th! Hah! It's a kick to see just how long they can keep this up. If/when anyone else does start winning, tifosi will have a lot of glory to look back on.

    FERRARI 1 and 2
    BMW and Toyota Disqualified!!!
Sir Frank Williams needs to start managing his team better. Too bad for Ralph. One more reason for JPM to complain!

Yeah, does anyone have those results?

I'm curious to see if Patrice Brisebois was as quick on the track as he was to jet off to Paris in the middle of the hockey season last year.

Another race that RB should have won ... :(, man he pisses me off. MS was obviously unable to out pace RB. RB had a few pathetic attempts to pretend to the rest of the world he has balls and looses his opportunity.

The braking to late into the hairpins almost had me pulling my hair out ... and I'm loosing it fast enough thanks. We all know that he should have braked earlier than MS, and worked on a great exit and then he would have draft MS easily.

Yep great number 2, and if all you want him to finish is 2nd (even without MS) then RB is great driver ... but to me NOT.

Pity the Renaults were not reliable as they would have pushed MS hard enough me thinks to make it very interesting.

Please do not tell me about team orders, RB and MS were almost on the same strategy, RB made the CORRECT tyre choice and had looked after his brakes, he had a 50 times better car than MS and showed his usually lack of passing ability ... and then later when he should have been catching RS, he was yet again asleep at the wheel, only to set the lap record on the 2nd to last lap. Where the fnck did that come from, and why when too late.

Personally he should be sacked before the next race and somebody worthy of training up to take on the WC post MS should be in his seat. RB aren't never going to pass anybody (Silverstone last year was a fluke ... must have spilt petrol on his private parts or something to motivate him) ...

Again you all will argue a perfect number 2 ... well he could have won this race, and still been a perfect number 2, and showed the rest of the grid that Ferrari will still be great after MS ... instead they are all waiting until he retires and then they KNOW that Ferraris time will have ended.

    Pete

Give it a rest with the conspiracy theories. Its beginning to sound like a bad cold war spy movie.

Michael 1st... he won fair an square... MS would have come out of the pits infront of Rudens even if he had gotten by for the 4-5 laps that you think RB was forced to stay back.
Rubens 2nd... good race... great driver... great number 2!

Damn. Now I feel sorry for Ralf. I was actually glad he had some success and was up on the podium for once (even though he didn't sound too thrilled to be second). Argh!

Michael and Rubens seemed extra excited about this win. I guess their little battle threw some excitement into the mix.

Yes MS did. I am not saying that the team or anybody other than RB held himself back ...Yep RB is a great number 2, and that is all he will ever be.

...Bzzzt. Error. I'm sorry, but thank you for playing.

After Rubens went into the pits, Michael laid down a couple of 1:14 laps. Problems? Don't look like it. Preserving his brakes? Probably.

Another factor: MS was "preserving" his car when Rubens was trying to lay down fast laps so he could - in pit stops - get ahead of the second place car ... Michael's brother: The one looking for a ride, next year, and who could really use a good finish. While MS was slowing up Rubens, Ralf was closing in on the both of them. After Rubens pitted, then Michael pulled out the cork and laid down laps to assure that he'd be in front of Ralf.

I can just imagine the comments if Rubens had banged wheels with Michael trying to pass. We're not talking Sato, JPM, or Klein, here. Rubens knows better than to take out his teammate (-16 pts) trying to turn six points into eight (+2 pts).

Hey, Rubens is driving F1 for Ferrari. How much would you put up with for that dream ride?

Rubens is smart: he knows that being #2 at Ferrari is still better than being #1 just about anywhere else.

And can anyone figure out what Sato is doing wrong to keep popping all his engines? Button's Hondas last, so there must be something wrong with Sato's technique.
