I was curious if anyone had a recommendation on a hotel for the Canadian GP. I'd love to book somewhere that's in the heart of the excitement (maybe where F1 employees might be staying etc). I'm not trying to sound naïve - my family just wants to be in the thick of it. Not looking to have dinner with the teams or anything but to be around the excitement is the hope. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone knows of block at a good hotel, I'd love to get in on that.

Big Ferrari F1 family here :)

If I recall correctly you want to be around peel street.

Not sure of hotel names but that is the "thick of things" with regards to the party and f1 staff.

The hotel we book everyyear has numerous teams. The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. Last year there was the Mercedes Team, Williams team, Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo. Keep in mind the team stays there but the drivers (big popular team) tend to stay at the W Hotel. But, after qualifying, my 14 yr old son who is a F1 fanatic shared a elevator with Alfa Romeo driver Zhou Guanyu !! My son was over the moon happy. Then to top it all off, on Sunday after the race, in the parking garage downstairs, we met and exchanged hellos with Lance Stroll the Aston Martin and Canadian driver. Again, my son went bananas.

Has anyone booked a block at any of these hotels and willing to part with one room?

I can recommend the Ritz and the Soffitel. Both are in the thick of it.

Hyatt Place Montréal is an excellent location. It's literally on a metro station and I've seen some F1 guys around or maybe they're just diehard fans. hard to tell the difference...

I stayed at the Loew's in 2019. Nice enough hotel, not too expensive, and reasonably well located (you could walk to all the downtown F1 events). They had simulators in the lobby during the race weekend, and made a few special cocktails for the event. To me the big perk was that they ran a shuttle to the track. Knowledgeable drivers got us to the track quickly and easily, and taking the Subway/Metro back was no problem at all. I'd recommend it
