woot! Now if telus would just eliminate the fee of getting rid of your contract, or put a cap on the total price. I really want to go to Rogers.
unfortunately anyone who signed a contract with any company is pretty much screwed and is looking at minimum $200 to get out of it. Telus does not have a cap...so you could pay up to $720 to get out of contract.
Details (non-company specific) are here: http://www.wirelessnumberportability.ca/english/index.html Some companies are better prepared for WNP than others. Read the fine print, not all numbers are portable, nor do all hand sets support WNP. And as mentioned before, you need to leave your existing contract. And lastly, if you want to join the 85% of the world on GSM, you need new hardware. My reco: go for best rate plan and coverage in your area. The good news, if your are doing wireless-wireless it should take less than 2.5 hours. Gerrit

Nice CGT, luv the white/tan. Toronto car? Congrats at your return to Autoforum, I usually pass by every year or so, I know my Father was looking at a Lotus there last year, great place.
no from the states, no way in hell would i be able to find a white one here. I have a blue one right now but my client wants white.
I have to admit...this is the first thing I thought as well. This is NOT the place for biz plugs.....although, alot have been popping up lately all over the forum. Perhaps a sign of the times ?
any time is a good time for a hot chicken sandwich! ummmm seriously whenever is usually good give me a ring.
Yeah, but I only have around 1 year 4 months left on my contract. Thats $280, but I think its worth it to be able to switch phones when ever I want with rogers.
So, im hearing about this population growth around the lovely GTA. The numbers are pretty strong around Barrie and Milton for the most part. I think we need immigration so im cool with that, but when it affects me in a negative way, kindda pees me off. Because of this growth i need to now worry about a few things which i blame our gouvernment for not properly forecasting. 1) Am i gonna be asked to reduce my hydro this summer because of the grind not having enough juice. 2)Traffic...heres a joke, i sit on the 407 paying for it to stay in traffic at times, but the 401 (forgetta about it) 3)Garbage....i live in thornhill, i have been doing the green box crap for over a year now. Its not easy splitting your food from your recycle and from your garbage. Oh, and i can only throw out garbage every other week....wait when it comes to your neighborhood...its aint fun. I could think of a few more, but i will reserve this for later....anyone else have any thoughts about the large increase into Canada....mainly the major 5 cities. Thoughts?
