Im a back to back Lexus owner....highly doubt i will ever move brands again...if i had too choose, BMW would be my 2nd choice, again back to back. I find the Japanese product better built and about 5-10% less expensive of all the imports. Nissan is alright, i have some friends that like them alot, but they seem to fizz out like the American cars at 100k....dumb things braking like power window buttons, leather wearing out abit, etc. Your call.

Well at the moment mine has 280***km and the power works still everywhere, the leather is obviously bad but not terrible. There is a small rip and the rest is just worn out. Has anyone driven a RHD car? My next one is looking to be RHD and I was wondering if anyone here has tried that.

Just be careful and have it checked out. Parts are not cheap. So make sure you do a PPI and are buying from a reputable broker. It seems everyone and their grandmother are getting into this JDM car importing thing...

Speaking of maintenence.... I just hit 150,000km on my daily driver. Man I should have sold it before this! Major interval for service/check-ups... *Sigh* There goes me paycheck lol.

If you think 150KM is alot of KM for an E36 BMW or think that you will be spending alot of money on maintenace then you should really buy a civic and be like everyone else in Brampton :D

    E36 BMW's are bullet proof.

HEY! There ARE some decent pockets in Brampton, okay? So quit busting me chops on that subject already :D

And V., I think it has more to do with age not the kms on the car. For example, in the 11 years it's never had any of the suspension related components replaced, and the sutpid A/C compressor is about to go.

E36 engines are bulletproof, yes - it's the other mechanical/electrical stuff that ends up going. All in all, I think about $1500 in parts and labour of a total suspension refresh and belts/pulleys/tensioners should have the car running good as new! Hopefully by the end of August I'll have every single thing worked out.

Oh, and I sold the Hamann HM2s :)

Parts should be simple body wise since it is exactly the same as the North American 240SX. Engine parts should still be easy since I do know a few importers.
