anyone see criss angel mindfreak tonight?

he jumped into his lp640 (black on black on black) went up to 100mph and into a puff of co2 and vanished "into thin air"...the trick was nice, the car was sex...i found this on the net..

"I just got a brand new -- one of 14 in the world -- custom-made black Rolls-Royce Phantom with an extended back. I get driven in that one. I also have a Lamborghini 2007 Murcielago LP640, and that's like my personal car." It retails for $320,000. "I have a [Dodge] Viper that is all tricked out. And I have a Mindfreak Hummer, which is currently on tour, going to car shows."

Looks like the magic business is where its at!

I gotta admit, Chris Angel and his magic tricks are pretty cool. Although its all BS and camera tricks (just like David Blaine and David Copperfield) because 99% of the tricks are not humanly possible.

Congrats to him, he's making some big $$$ now that he's becoming really popular. If he's smart, he'll stay in Vegas and get one of those 80$ million dollar stage shows like Celine Dion.

Ok guys I think I have to be serious for sec. (For once :D)

There has been some great spotting going on here along with some great pictures. However, I would like to ask you guys a little favour and PLEASE delete the plate numbers from the pictures. Takes only 2 seconds on photoshop.

As I have mentionned in the BC spotter's thread I am not trying to piss on anyone's parade, be a prick nor only pick on one section or group. I have had a couple people contact me about this. Let's keep the pictures coming but with no license plates showing. Sound good? :)

    Thanks guys.

Now back to our regularly scheduled off-topic thread. I heard that ASb66699 and Starboy are officially dating :D

    OK, newsflash.....

Two Americans were caught "street racing" on the 400 North this afternoon in 2 Corvettes.....they reached 200 km/h and were caught on radar. They were both arrested and charged with dangerous driving, and operation of a radar detector. Both their cars were seized because they were modified for racing.

Thats's BS I say, how can you impound someones car from another country?
You can't charge them with all that crap, they are not Canadian citizens, although they should respect our laws to the best of their abilities.

    Yes / No?

    Disagree...throw the book at them.

If you went to the middle east and had an ounce on you, you could face the death penatly.

When visiting in someone else's country repect the rules, dont like them ? get lost and dont go.

I think the 10k and the impounding of the cars is correct.

    Ignorance is no excuse.

    Bye Bye !!

*Sigh*, just what we needed - something more to feed the media frenzy regarding this whole "OMFG STREET RACING!" fiasco.

PS. Attorney General Bryant should be investigated for the credibility of his L.L.B. based on the moronic laws he just brought in.

What happens when we travel to Buffalo and get caught doing 130 kmh on the I95? We just take the ticket, rip it up and forget about it until someone calls. We really don't care either, we think we're immune and protected because we have crossed the border.

This country is f*cked, what do Americans think about us when they come visit?

"Hey, gays can get married here, we can smoke weed and not get busted, we can't smoke cigarettes or cigars in a bar, but we'll get our cars crushed if we get caught speeding".

In countries like Saudi Arabia and Singapore, if you get caught doing all 3 of those things, you're in deep ****. In Canada, you don't know what to expect. They should give you a handbook of all the crazy rules and laws that are in effect now.

It's all just BS politics. They put in effect such BS laws like these just so it satisfies the appearence of justice at work for the public. I can only speculate how many cops out there are going to abuse the new anti-street racing leglislation - this is just what we need

There are MANY more important things the government agencies should be ****ting bricks over. Rigorously trying to clamp down on street racing (which has killed what - 35 people since 1999 in Ontario?) should NOT be a top priority. Sure, let's set aside the bigger issues at hand, such as the laughable sentences for rapists, sex offenders, etc. HOWEVER, it is perfectly acceptable to give life in prison for the two lunatics who were racing on the 400 this past weekend and ended up killing a trucker - right...

Let's not even get into the crap about "we can crush your car" without even having substantial grounds for the seizure. Since when is crushing a car based on tips that it has bene modified (so these modifications MUST be for street racing regardless of what they are/do) been considered due process?

I wonder how long it will be before someone gets very unhappy with an unjustified seizure/destruction of their modified car and sues the **** out of the law enforcement agencies involved...

Yes I believe it is, 20-25 years in prison for murder is justified.

Exactly. Hey Anu, don't you think it's serious when this father died because of these wanna-be racers (who think they know how to drive) made this guy vear into the ditch and kill himself trying to avoid yet a bigger accident?

This my friend is serious stuff.

My condolences to the truck driver and his family. However, a good lawyer and a good argument can clear those dudes of everything, and send them home.

Remember last years fiasco of those two kids on Mt Pleasant road who killed the taxi driver when they were "street racing"? They were expected to get 5-10 years in prison, and have the book thrown at them, all they got was 1 year house arrest and a 5 year license ban!

Money talks and criminals walk... as I say.

Yeah...BUT..........there was some public outcry if you recall.....i doubt the kids of this recent accident will get off like those did.

Im still perplexed in how those Americans in Z06s got caught for racing, they could have easily gotten away.

I never denied that it wasn't serious. Ofcourse I understand the magnitude of the impact this has on the family of the victim (and the accused, too).

You guys missed my point. I was pointing out the rediculous discrepency between sentencing for serious crimes, such as this one, and comparing it to other equally serious crimes - it seems you just hung on to only the latter part of what I said :p

Anyways, I couldn't agree more with Starboy:

Money indeed talks. We all have no idea how corrupt the justice system is in Canada... and the US is even worse.

I know of one situation where a case of old scotch and some fine cigars delivered to the judge's residence got a chap cleared of a sexual assault charge.

    And no, it wasn't Vasco.

If you really want to know, you and I and all North Americans are in the same sinking boat. We think no less of you and we hope you think no less of us.

I think Canadians and Americans have a good amount of respect for eachother.

In the last few years, with the war, challenging economy, Asian competition, Canada and the US have become stronger together.
