To be honest, this is the reason I have "lived" with Rogers until now. I have had some bad experiences with competitors in the past, but nothing even CLOSE to the complete lack of customer service at rogers in this day and age. I can no longer live with myself paying this company SEVERAL hundred dollars a month for combined services, when in return I am treated like crap. I'll take my chances switching to a competitor or simply do without some of the channels and features I never use anyway but rogers has slowly over the years incrementally added to my service and monthly bill. 2 hours and 34 effing minutes and still on hold... still waiting...
well I should have predicted this. after 2 HOURS AND FIFTY MINUTES ON HOLD, ROGERS' HOLD SYSTEM DISCONNECTED ME. Just dropped the connection. Truly and utterly asinine. It's criminal in fact. Off to Telus to see if I can switch to them before the day is over.

Hey man- thanks for the offer. Luckily, there is a Telus branch about 50 yards from my place. Switched my cell phone over in about 1 hour - they just yanked my existing number from Rogers. Now I get to wait for the rogers rep to call me and ask for the business back. Poor sap, he's gonna wish he never dialed my number.
