Sorry I missed ya, Spasso :( (I spoke w/your "ride"). Well, I took some pictures with my good 35mm but since it's film I won't get the pictures developed and scanned until next week. I did take a couple shots with my girlfriend's digital point-n-shoot. Since the images are big I couldn't upload them to this so just click the links; too much image size reduction really causes the image to lose its visual impact thus why I didn't make them any more smaller.

http://www.icbm.org/erkson/temp/Ferrari%20007.avi (14.8Mb...kinda big file! Turn up the volume ;) )
    http://www.icbm.org/erkson/temp/Ferrari%20008.avi (3.23Mb)

There were, of course, people with digital SLR cameras so I'm sure we'll see some nice images rather soon :)

Oh, aside from the many 3x8 cars (my favorites) I got to see a the two black Mondials, one convertible and the other hard-top. Obviously well used cars but, surprise surprise, my girlfriend liked the red Dino the most. She prefered the two seaters over the 2+2 :D

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. As you know it was my first event and I must say, Wow. What a bunch of cool people and of course amazing cars.
The Seattle crew showed in force. I finally met, Dave 348 Spider, Dave 355 Spider, Jimmy 355 spider, Willis 360, Peter 328, Dave boxer and many more.
Guess I will meet you on the wine country drive or the BC trip. Hope you feel better.

To everyone, thanks again for all your help and gracious invite into your select group!!! I am officially addicted!!! Downloading pics now. I still don't know how to post pics but my girl is on it and will post soon!

    Thanks to all

    Thanks guys,
Really sorry I missed it. The timing couldn't have been worse for me or the 308 getting sick. I will keep aim on the Veterans Charity Drive and Vancouver B.C. show in June. Hopefully me AND the 308 will be healthy by then.

Who's yellow 308 in the picture? Very nice!

LOL...They should have called it the Dave show instead of a Ferrari show. I think it will take awhile to get the Dave's all straight.

    Dana,

You did miss a good weekend. I was disapointed when I heard you weren't going. Hope you and your car are feeling better. I think my 308 decided to get sick in sympathy. I drove the other car but still had fun.

Got home today and found the hubcentric rings in the mailbox but they didn't fix the problem :( Pulled back in the garage after a short test drive and found a nice puddle of coolant under the water pump :( :(

I think I'm going to slap some shields on the Lincoln and call it good. Anybody want to buy a 308 cheap??

    Randy,

I didn't put two and two together and realize that Randy=Wasco. Did that headache go away yet??!!

I was going to post a few pics but dropped my camera on the way into the house and now it won't turn on. I'll get some posted as soon as I can.

Great weekend everyone!! It was great to meet a lot of new people and get to know others better.

Thanks to all those who organized ran it all!!!

I am feeling better but the jury is still out on the 308.

I thought for sure that would fix it. Hard to guess what it could be.

Make sure you go with the later series pump, 328 type?

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes. It sounds like you have been having the same kind of spring I have been.

Great event but, alas, no ride :( Well, I didn't ask...and to answer the "what about the charity rides?" question someone is bound to say, no, ALL DAY Sunday for me was spent with about 300 Volkswagens (mostly air-cooled) up in Kent & Lake Sammamish, WA, for a charity cruise/event so there was no way I could do the charity F-rides on Sunday (and I'm frickin' tired!). Anyway, I met a couple of nice F-owners, too. Friendly group of people :)

License plates... Well, one of the things I heard over and over at the Sat. evening event were people commenting on the cleverness of the license plates. I think they are a real part of the car and the over-blown scare of getting info on a car based upon its license plate is unnecessary and no longer valid -- it'd be no different than getting it from a video or while driving down the road or a magazine story (I've been a photographer for some time) or ... My opinon on that and backed up by (click on it to go to Oregon's DMV web site):

Q: If I give you a plate number can you tell me who owns the vehicle?
A: Personal information in motor vehicle records is protected and only released to qualified entities under Oregon´s Record Privacy Law (ORS 802.175-802.191). These are generally businesses such as law enforcement agencies, government agencies, insurance companies, and attorneys. Personal information is name, address, telephone number and driver license, permit or identification number.

Besides, why have a vanity plate if no one can enjoy it? ;) Yeah, if an owner contacted me and fretted over it, I'd blur it out but I'd also educate them because they are worrying over nothing.

It was fun thought. That keltic band was interesting!

Hope to see your F-car at the next event!

I think you had a little to do with that headache too!! Mine wasn't too bad and D&C said they felt great. Must have been the walk back in that cold night air! That was a fun night!!

    1. I like the 308. It's faster than my Jetta and looks 100 times better.
    2. Okay, ya got me curious. Why blur it? What would be the other reasons?

    Randy,

308 burnouts?? So those must have been your tire marks I noticed in the garage at the hotel....

You're braver than me.... I've never attempted a burnout in any of the Ferraris that I've owned. The risk of breaking something $$$$ has always deterred me.
