Unseasonable sunny and dry this weekend! < Weather report.
I sure hope it's SUNNY this weekend at the beach! Most years have been overcast/light rain at best. Still lots of fun anyway though. It's now been 7 years and three Ferraris later, since I first attended this event. Time sure flys by fast....
National and local weathur gurus say 85 in Salem on Sat. but as always who knows! It think at worst it will be at least 70 and partly cloudy at the coast, hope the wind isnt blowing like it is here now at a steady 20 knots.
I really look forward for this event Scene from 2003, wet and overcast but everyone had a good time Let's return to Pig 'n Pancake for breakfast
One more photo for those who are going to be first timers NW contingents on the way down at the rest stop
It should be at least 70 an sunny at the coast on Sat no rain till Monday. How many meeting at Tannasborne?
1) Thanks for leading the way Ray! 2) I can't remember why I shot this! 3) More room? 4) Across the street.
Nice pictures. I'll post something later in the day when I have time to sort what I've got. What a great weekend! Had a great time yesterday giving rides for charity too.
More pictures at: http://groups.msn.com/NWRFCA/canonbeach04.msnw Thumbnails problematic, but individual pictures seem OK.
A trip to the beach is not complete without some scenic pictures. Here's one from Friday afternoon after our arrival:
We drove down to Manzanita Beach for lunch. The road and scenery were fantastic! A curious shop called the Bad Woman Emporium drew all the women inside.
Sunday morning. I was told this was more normal by a local. However, the weather cleared up in time for the afternoon charity drive.
Great pictures Willis. I'll have to try and make it next time. I remember going to Cannon Beach in the early '60's. Haystack Rock brings back a lot of memories.................
Just wanted to say thanks to Dave T for giving me my first ride in a Ferrari. As a life long fan, and future F-car owner, I have to say that the experience was spectacular!! Thanks for opening her up a bit Dave! I can't think of a better sound than the Tubi howling away behind my head!! It was great to see everyone out driving the cars, offering your time and giving up part of your day to support a great cause! Everyone I had the pleasure of meeting was a true class act! Thanks again and happy motoring...
DJ, You would have loved it. You should join us next year. Sun, Beach, Ferraris on great roads. Can't beat that combination!
