the opening clip is the best chase scene in hollywood history. whats more bad-azz than a blacked out lamborghini running from cops driving a turbocharged musclecar? only bad thing is that the song is the most fairy-azz song in creation........ go to youtube.com, sign in and start a new playlist --if you dont have an account, start one. its free and takes about a minute then search 'lamborghini countach sound mod tdu' when you find it, save it to your new playlist twice(this way you can loop it). then find and save van halen's 'panama' to your itunes(you SHOULD already have it!) open a second internet window and go back to youtube.com. search 'cannonball run 1' and kill the volume on this window arrange your desktop so you can see the play time of all three windows. go to the your new youtube playlist window and press 'play all' 29 seconds into it press play on your itunes 5 seconds into 'panama' play the cannonball run clip then expand to full screen. light up and enjoy!!! if you do it right, it will end perfectly the synch is not perfect, but is pretty good, so you'll wanna rock the VH a little louder than the lambo's engine the coolest part is when the song breaks down after the guitar solo, there is a close up of the lambo. @ that part in the song you'll hear an engine revving in the backround of the song at about the time Diamond Dave 'reaches down to ease the seat back'. the engine revving is actually Eddie Van Halen's personal Lamborghini LP5000S!!!! .......if we can only erase the opening credits! agreed, the magnum jokes get old real fast. but i am proud to roll the same ride as Sammy and Dino. these two stole the whole movie "shorty! why did he call me shorty?" -"cause your small, small, ...S-M-all!"
