The coolest video to ever grace Youtube would be if you hooked up with a production company and re-created the opening scene. Don't forget to do the spray paint clip too!

    :/

thats the red lambo from number 2.

also, an opening chase scene for this day in age would be more complex. its not the 80's where it used to be much more simple. audiences these days would want something more action packed....like lets say....a decoy, and a whole squadron of cops chasing the twins down a freeway, but with the cops crashing and flipping.

    Thank you!
Today I am having some professional shots taken by automotive photographer Doug Sonders (check out his amazing work www.sondersphotography.com)
Starting tomorrow morning the entire car is being wet sanded to see where we really are with the paint. With the help of my good friend (and fellow Countach nut) Tony, as well as many others, we have already secured most of the parts we need. We are still looking for a pair of Vitaloni Tornado flag mirrors.
I will post photos over the next few months as the work progresses!

Incorrect. He is obviously referring to the Speed Limit sign gag. Watch the intros in Post #44 in this thread. The Speed Limit sign is spray painted with an "X" by "Jill" in the first film, and in the sequel the gag is a sticker applied to the Speed Limit sign by "Marcie", changing it from "55" to "155".

I plan on restoring and keeping the car as it was originally in the movie, as accurately as possible. I have watched the clips over and over to get all of the details. (Wow, am I thankful for that pause button!)

Here's something fun- the license plate on the car in the movie was a Florida tag, HNV 912.
I registered the car this week, here in Florida, and ordered a personalized plate.
You guessed it- HNV 912 ! I couldn't believe it was available.
    Too cool!

    Nice touch with the plate!
What worries me though is how far are you going to take this authenticity??? does this mean you will only drive the car wearing a skin tight purple jump suit? not to mention what you will do if pulled over!

Yesterday Doug Sonders did a photo shoot with the car. He is an amazing photographer (www.sondersphotography.com)
The pictures will be used to make the event poster for this years Make-A-Wish charity event, the Celebration Exotic Car Festival (www.celebrationexoticcars.com)

We had a lot of fun doing these, especially recreating the Speed Limit sign.

Here are a couple of the preliminary, low-res photos. Doug will be working on retouching them this week. He is a real artist- I can't wait to see the finished product! Once he finishes the retouching, they will be reproduced into stunning, very high resolution, full size posters which we will be selling at at the event and on the event website for $25, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Make-A-Wish. I will post again about this once they are available for sale on the website.

I think Doug did (and will do) a fantastic job with these and that we will raise a lot of money for Make-A-Wish with them.

Very cool pictures. I think you need to keep the Speed Limit sign for your garage.

He is working on the retouching this week, they will be available after that.

We are trying to decide which photo is best to use for the event poster.

  20. I like the first photo, just like it was in the movie.

Congrats on the purchase. This is one cool story.

It's been a long time since I watched the movie. I have it in my collection, so I'll have to watch it now. If I ever get to FL I would love to shoot your cars. Still trying to get good enough though. Keep us updated!

You know I want both :)

PS: And public first dibs on the car for "someday"

Awesome photos....I am on board for one.
(to answer a previous question, I meant that this car was the only one in the first movie.
There was no replica used in the first movie, and if someone said different then they lied or were dumb)

Somehow that car just isnt as significant, its just another countach (blasphemy i know) but it is not THE Countach as Jeff will rightly tell you.
