what does this thing do?!?! did they steal it from the Hubbell telescope?

 

Employing Germans to hand polish the glass is more expensive than something equivalent in Japan/China/SE Asia.

But... for that price, I'd hope that it does something resembling worthwhile better than the Canon, or the Zeiss big dogs.

 

I wonder how much the Zeiss 50mm f/0.7 lenses they used on the moon landing cost.
