My car is a non-flared car. I never liked the flat flare extension. Looks odd on such a curvaceous body. But that's just me.
I would like to see pictures of original vespa and lambretta toolkits, some of the tools look the same.......... I could be wrong. Also for that kind of money, one could take a quick trip to Italy and look around local shops and find tools like this, have some good eats and a good drink and come back with tools and a case of wine. I bet you'll find a nice replica pouch too. I think there is a huge swap meet in September. A fried of mine goes every year looking for bike bits.
I went to the Imola swap meet dignini speaks of a few years back (it takes place around the Autodromo). For people who like Italian car/bike bits as well as literature and memorabilia, it is orgasmic. I have a friend who has gone more than once in recent years and claims that like most used and NOS vintage part sources, the supply seems to be dwindling at the show and reproduction stuff is now more prevalent. That being said, the Imola swap meet (and apparently the Padova swap meet) are things that every Dino/Ferrari junkie should try to make it to at least once. Of course, walking around the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari is a cool experience in it of itself. The Imola swap meet (aka C.R.A.M.E. - Mostra Scambio) is taking place this year on September 16th and 17th. Show up early and bring lots of cash because the good stuff goes fast and they probably don't take American Express. ...Keith
Yeah I agree with Keith I went back in 94 and 95 and it was a amazing experience.Unfortunately I didn't have my GT4 back then but I bought a few things for my Alfa Spyder
Well I guess you were right about this one. It has been over 60 days since I paid for the tools and the only thing that I have received were reasons for delay. I guess I am helping fund his business endeavor. He said the following "Hi I guarantee you will be pleased with item.I am in the Ferrari business and you do not need ebay disputes as bad publicity does more damage to my business than a dispute.I guarantee you will like your item,I really am waiting on your freeby to arrive which is a dino keyfob which is the same as the original." I will let you draw you own conclusions on that.
Just one more excuse. Get your claim in with paypal, or your CC company. This guy sure doesn't seem to be able to deliver on his promises. DM
crap, i have been buying keyfobs when i could have gotten them for free by buying other junk too? i am such an idiot.
More toolkits from LSR, price has gone up. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320002442339 Did these ever materialize?
I am making the 246 tools and 250/275/365 in romenia pliers 4 spanners bags etc ALL OFF ORIGINALS Will have them ready for monterey (I hope)
TOM!!! YOU'RE UP EARLY!!! Saturday morning cruise perhaps? Or off to find something hidden deep in the woods? Take a day off, already. Dave
I wouldn't doubt LSR purchased Keith's pouch set to make repros of... The lure of easy money has a very strong appeal. I recall 17 years ago when counterfeiting had gotten so bad that it extended to the actual cars being replicated which is when the factory stopped provifing build seets to the public. Don't think it will stop.
that is an obscene price. I can respect making a profit but that is just darn greedy. 300-400 is more resonable.
