Amazing. I remember when I had my 308 qv, I wanted
to replace the original U.S. outside mirrors,no one had them.
Now at least you know vertually anything can be reproduced,
the only limit being your budget.

MULE! Wow, a blast from my past. I remember talking to you at the car show at Grocery Warehouse in Colorado Springs! Not sure if you remember me and my silver 360. As I recall we both left Colorado about the same time for opposite ends of the country!

Which one do you need? On my car, I have a yellow on driver's right, and white/clear on driver's left.
At this point, I don't care which one I get, as long as they match.....

I've seen this machine in action at SEMA an PRI, if your a machinist or even have a restoration shop of any kind, its an invaluable tool. It would be a great business venture to make obscure Ferrari parts.

I do remember. I do not think we could have gone farther apart in the US.

The computer, the software and the machine that makes the parts in plastic are all great: the difficult part is to find a machine shop that is able to reproduce the plastic part in metal.
Good machinists are mostly retired or dead in this Country and finding one who is still in business and willing to go through the trouble of making one-off part is a real "treasure hunt".

Can't you just feed the 3D data into a CNC machine?

That is fantastic!! I want to thank Jay for bringing it to our attention. I know he catches some flak around here. I'm going back to check out his garage when I find time.

How about the model of the steam engine that was made complete in one pass. Almost unbelievable. And the best part is....

    Made in the USA!!!

The title of the book I am reading comes to mind, "Make the Possible From the Impossible".
