    Hi there guys, Just damaged one of the tailpipes on my F355 1998 Spider, which has a Capristo exhaust fitted, one of the tail ends one the drivers side is totally bent out of shape the other scratched. I called the authorised dealer in the UK who said they can not be replaced.

    Anybody know where I could get a replacement I have found someone who will cut the old ones off and weld the new ones on. I have found alternative tail pipe ends too which look similar but not as good, but the Capristo ones seem to have a baffle (holes) in the two outer pipes. I was wondering does this contribute to the sound this exhaust makes and will i loose it if i change all four tail pipes. Does any one know of a similar set of tail pipe ends available from anywhere too as i want to make it look and sound as it did. thanks

    You can take the exhaust to a good exhaust-welding-shop, and they will replace your tail-pipes as you wish. If they are any good they can fit the pipes with new baffle/mesh. No problems at all.

    I dont think the baffle/mesh have any affection to the sound. If it has, it is definetely very very little.
