Does any of you have any pics of your capristo installation? I will be doing the project tomorrow and want to be fully ready. I have done it once before for the Tubi NGT but the mounting bracket and plate looks different in the Capristo.
    Thanks
    Ken

Good question. I have my bumper off and ready to install my level 2. I'm currently trying to suss out if I should have had an additional heat deflector supplied with the exhaust. I'm also waiting for shims that are aparently required to get the correct tail pipe exit. Do either of these issues ring a bell.
    regards,
    Andy

Supplier now says an additional heat shield is not required.

    Ken,
I went home and fitted mine this afternoon. I got the silencer into place first, this was very tight. I got it stuck and needed to remove 1/4" off the end of the cats to get it manouvered into place.

I then undid the allen bolts holding the red spacers onto the mounting bracket. I then fitted the brass coloured spacer to the gearbox and then manouvered the plate into position and fixed it loosely with the original gearbox mounting bolts. I then fitted the allen bolt into the brass coloured spacer and then pushed the red rubber mounts into place.

At this point I discovered I had pushed the can too far onto the cats, and had to pull it back a bit for the mounting rubbers to line up. Other than that all is well so far.

I have not fitted the rear bumper on again yet, so not sure how the tail pipes will line up.

I could not resist starting it up though. It sounds lush. Just the howl I was looking for. Cant wait for the frost and salt roads to go.
    regards,
    Andy

Thanks Andy, this makes more sense. I was wondering how come there is only 1 of that strange shape screw. Your picture looks great and very clear. I will start my project this afternoon. Last time it took me about 5 hours hope this time will be lot less. Was not too clear on what the other guy post on your post regarding the 3/4 inch clearance to the latch. I bought my used and it has a paint stain( from the siver frame) on one side, I guess that is what he is talking about regarding that the can will slide out when it's hot.
Thanks again, I will take pictures too.

I think the clearance issue is to make sure the can does not hit the latch when it expands when its hot. I pushed the exhaust forward right up to the probes, but this was too far forward to line up the bracket. I pulled the can back a bit until the bracket lined up with the exhaust. From the photo you can see that it is still on full forward adjustment.
    Good luck,
    regards,
    Andy

    OK, finally got it on.
I thought it would be fairly easy until I got to the part where the pipe connect with the cats. Mannn that was hard to put on! Somehow the Capristo is design to sit so far back that there is no room for it to slide in easy. I had to jack up the Cats to get the easier angle to get the pipes to fit. Anyway it's done and I made sure that it was far up as possible to prevent any knocking.
Here is the thing, I must be spoiled by both of the MS Racing and Tubi NGT. The sound of my Level 3 did not impress me that much. It did not have that F1 sound that we hear on the video, I guess I have to be out side of the car to appreciate it maybe.

I do not have pics, but I did watch the installation of my Cap3. The fitter had to use emery cloth to get the tip of the cat pipe very smooth so that the exhaust slipped on with a nice grip. You now obviously now know how the can mounts, on the supplied plate which is fixed to the gearbox casing. The shims are then offered up with the bumper temporarily in place to get the correct level. It is very important to warm the car up before tightening the bolts from the can to the bracket to allow for expansion. I remember starting the car to do this and couldn't believe the fantastic noise. I couldn't wait to blip the throttle when it got upto temperature!

There was no additional heat shielding supplied, but this was subsequently not required, all that should've been supplied with the exhaust were a pair of ear defenders!

*Ignore this post, I have just realised the OP was 7 months ago!*

That looks tricky! I think I'll just stick to changing brake pads and air filters! :)

Any chance of getting some decent vids up with your in-car pose camera with the level 3? Kreissieg ferrari vids are miles better on youtube than capristo. If I were capristo I would go and shoot a load and put it on social media to market them better for Ferrari's. Infact I would not have bought one but I heard it on fchat memebr "maser's" car and it sounded the dogs danglies.

I have the video camera ready and waiting for my next blat. Unfortunately due to work commitments and the recent sh!te weather, I haven't been out in it for nearly 3 weeks!

Did you buy a camera in the end? I'll be at the 'ring in October if you and Masar are about.

The camera quality is really good. I used it once but had the sound setting set to the wrong level but the picture quality was fine. The next F outing, I'll experiment with it again. There is no blurring or vibration and it reacts to light changes very well.

I have the dual sound on my F430. The remote unit can be mounted on the drivers side behind the panel in the engine compartment. Just take some tie wraps and attach the unit to the vacuum hoses (just above the cans) and wiring that runs to the rear of the car. It will stay nice and dry in there and won't rattle against anything.
