Hi. I bought a 'mint' 348 in November'13 and had a new Capristo L3 exhaust put on. The noise level is unsurprisingly loud but the tone of the output is particularly 'rough' throughout the rev-range. Now, I have some mates with 348's although none of them have Capristo's (they have Tubi's etc) and therefore it was difficult to know whether my exhaust was as expected or not? But my 'gargling hippo' (as it has been described) does not give a classic Ferrari 'rasp' at higher revs as expected.

Recently I had my car serviced (recognised Ferrari dealer) and they immediately said that the exhaust was not sounding like any other Capristo they had heard and this was backed-up when I drove it to the supplier of the exhaust too. So 2 'experts' who individually question the 'gruffness' of the exhaust.

I have therefore swapped-out my exhaust back to the original stock one and sent the 'new' one back to Capristo for them to check it out. I have just heard back from them and they tell me that there is 'nothing wrong with it'?

So, my car (18k miles) and in overall mint condition and it just purrs with the current stock exhaust. The engineer, when they serviced it, said that the Cats were fine (passed all the tests) and overall the engine and car runs perfectly. I am at a bit of a loss, any ideas?
