Hi everybody! I am about to replace my stock headers in my f430. I don't know wether i should install MK2 headers with capristo exhaust brackets, capristo headers or fabspeed headers. In case i installed capristo/fabspeed headers, do i need to buy capristo exhaust brackets in order to avoid them cracking? Thanks!

I think that regardless of the route that you go, the bracket should still be put in place. Purely because it's a good design and takes off a lot of the strain from the exhaust regardless of what components are in use.

When going aftermarket, the biggest advantage of the headers is the absence of the Pre-cat that is in the OEM headers. Of course this frees up power and sound, but more importantly it gives owners piece of mind that pieces of their cats wont be getting sucked into the engine.

The MKII headers from what I have heard improved the failure rate quite a bit, but I still have heard of a couple of instances where MKII headers have failed. Unless you are getting them for free, I can't imagine going with OEM when you compare the prices.

Thank you for your help! In case i ordered fabspeed headers, do i need to also order heat blankets? What are they for?

The heat blankets are a great addition that can be added at anytime. They are designed to protect the rubber and other sensitive materials in the engine bay from extreme heat under the hood after long and hard use of the car where temperatures in the engine bay can get very high.

We also offer high temperature ceramic coating of both the outside and the inside of the headers. This is nice because it is very durable, looks great and is an excellent middle ground between the two extremes of bare headers/header with blankets.

Will i have any problem if i don't order either the heat blankets or the ceramic coating? The headers fit either the european or the america f430, don't they?
