Hi guys. I just put the Capristo pipes on my car. Installed my self so have a question to ask.

At WOT I hear a hhssssssss that sounds like the turbos spinning or a what I think could be a leak where I clamped them on.

Does any one with these pipes hear the same at high revs with WOT just before the red line.

Ok so I reinstalled the clamps and used some fire gum to make sure it is sealed. sound is still there and I was more attentive and have noticed that it’s when the turbo pressure goes above 0.8bar as soon as that pressure drops below that or a gear change happens I don’t hear the hiss out the pipes and then it builds up again.

Car seems to have full power and in fact feels like it’s pulling stronger ( could just be better grip with new tyres).

So I doubt it’s a leak. Must be the turbo spoiling at full pressure and picking this sound up now that there are no rear boxes anymore.

And now to answer my own question[emoji846]

Confirmed with Capristo it’s the turbos. Without mufflers the hiss of the turbos can be heard at higher pressure.

Also confirmed with a race exhaust manufacturer here back home.

As they say ... you live and you learn

    Mick,
Was the install pretty straight forward? And did you install the remote system? I have a set to put on but my local dealer needs the car for a week.

    It’s dirt easy.

Takes about an hour in a workshop I’d say or 1 1/2 at home given you one person. You can do it via wheel arches only for just the pipes.

To do the remote you must take the rear bumper off. That’s about 15 minutes extra work if the wheels are off. Watch out if your car has a dab antenna on the left rear of the bumper so you don’t damage it when removing the bumper.

It’s very easy and you should be charged no more than 2 hours work.

I did mine on a Friday evening after work and before dinner
