I have a Capristo Stage 3 on my 360 with stock cats and headers. The resonating chamber rubs on the back wall of the engine compartment when the engine is warmed up. Anybody else with a similar problem?

I was told by Ron Tonkin GT in Portland, Oregon to stay away from Capristo and go with Tubi, for just that reason. He said the Capristo mounts are junk and move over time. Sound is great, however, $5000 + for a lack of quality is not for me. Maybe they have new mounts?

Yes, mine does that also, only on one side. Due to the heat expansion.
Only thing I know to do is make sure connection is pushed on as far as possible.

My mechanic is going to cut a short segment of the cat end pipe to see if the Capristo can move forward a bit.

I took a grinder to the end of the cats and cut about 1/2" off to get them on. Maximum credibility in my local pub for taking a grinder to a Ferrari. Capristo are the best, go with it. For all the perfectionists out there, go suck a lemon.

Yeah, they are so good you needed to use a grinder to get them to fit. Love that German engineering, LOL.

Mine was doing that, so I made sure everything was nice and warmed up, then I loosened and shoved the assembly forward while hot and expanded. I do like the trimming of the pipes better though.
Agree on the bad mount. Mine bent. My brother straighened out the tabs and tigged a stainless gusset between them. Has been perfect ever since.

Capristo is the best when it comes to exhausts...
