Sorry my man. You are correct. It was another Brit with a truckload of mods.

 

Mine's a 99 so yeah, slightly different sound.

As far as Gruppe M, they offer a carbon fiber intake (which I have) as well as a full exhaust system... Headers all the way back. This is probably the best sounding system I've ever heard on any car, but it comes with big honkin 3.5" single tips, which look horrible. I'm sure they're easily replaced though.

 

For those who have the Tubi and test pipes. I have the Tubi but not the test pipes, what do those cost and where to get them? Thanks.

 

You can find them on ebay now and then. I saw a set somewhere in the last week for around $600. You wont believe the difference when you put them on.

just make sure u get the right ones, cuz the 95s are different that the 96+.

IME test pipes on a 355 do not make any noticeable difference. I actually took a small cavallino in trade for a good used set of 355 test pipes ...... that is what I think test pipes on a 355 are worth .........

One would be better off getting a new set of hi-flow air box tops that look cool and 'actually make a difference' ........ for considerably less $ .....

 

This is the best sounding 355 I've ever heard, there is no competition here, I just wish I understood what this guy was saying while driving the car.

 

They make a difference in sound. A big difference. With cats the sound levels off after 5000 rpm. With test pipes the sound countinues to climb right to the limiter.

 

+1 ...... an agressive sound should definitely be noticeable ...... especially with a performance exhaust !
