I have been patiently waiting for my Capristo twin sound exhaust !! I ordered it 2 weeks ago so I should see it on my door step next week I have been looking at you-tube videos and must say it sounds great on videos though have not heard it in the flesh!! My neighbours were not too happy with my last exhaust ( It was a Caballo limited edition ) so this will be the best of both worlds for me/us....so when I am out of the neighbourhood it will be open all the time ! Anyone here have it on their 360 and what are your thoughts??
If they had a level 1 to level 2, or a level 1 to level 3, I would buy it in a heartbeat. However, they do not. They only have a level whatever to open pipes (no muffler whatsoever). With the open pipes, you do not get that Formula 1 shriek that the level 3 provides (and somewhat with the level 2).
if you open the valves on the freeway it is possible to get some droning at the right RPM, with valves closed no droning at all. In the higher RPMs the sound is incredible.
I have a Capristo system (by Meridian) and everyone I meet says my 360 sounds awesome! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tuff sh*t as far as the neighbors are concerned. I'm a ry good neighbor to boot at least I think so. But no neighbor or my neighbors feelings are going to be considered when exhaust is concerned. Sorry. As far as I am concerned. Deal with it. R
I use to have a twin sound on my spider , I no longer have the car, but to this day I miss that sound. In default mode, from idle it had a similar tone, somewhere in between a level one or two Capristo, but if I kept my foot in it sounded like a jet going by. As you know you have the option of keeping the bypass valves activated at all times, my personal opinion, I didn't like the sound at idle, also throttle response wasn't as crisp. To be honest only time I used the remote was to make noise sitting at the light. I had the opportunity to drive side by side with another 360 which had a Kreissing, they were extremely close. Congrats and have patience, once you get to install it on your car you'll be very happy with the twin sound.
I have just installed my Carpristo valves system. Custom order to have level 1 close and level 3 open. It is exactly what I want. The valve closed is amazingly quite and almost the same as stock system with valves closed. When open the sound just like any level 3 you can find on youtube. I was tossing between twin sounds and this and I'm sure both will be very effective (quiet) with valves closed.
Jim that looks exactly like the Capristo setup I have so I'll wager it sounds similar. I also have the GruppeM airbox as you do. Did you install it?
I have a capristo two tone on my 360. Love it!!! You will be sooooo happy. It is the best of both worlds.
VERY! Thankfully the PO put it in because I most likely would not have splurged for this! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Have the level 3 on my Euro 360, BEST sounding exhaust for the 360 IMO. Its a bit louder as I do not have the pre cats. Getting ready to install test pipes.
Hi Kevin. Hows the gruppeM intake? Silly question I know considering now you'd probably be unable to hear it over the Capristo. I'm a strong believer in conical air filters over panels. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
You get what you pay for. Not anywhere more expensive than the units they design for Bimmers. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
I really don't have any reference points. I can hear it take a big suck of air if I whomp on it, but it was always there so I am not sure how it is supposed to sound. I am still waiting to run into another 360 here. I like the organic shape of it in the engine compartment!
Thanks bud. Would be great if you had a baseline to compare with. I have a unit incoming for my Scudie projectcar. I went from the 430 factory steel intake lids with horns and factory panel filters, to BMC filters...and eventually to Carbonio intake lids. Best sounding is still the factory 430 steel lids with horns. Intake soundtrack was alot more pronounced with BMC panel filters. Can't wait for the GruppeM. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
nice Kevin I was in Honolulu last year for a few weeks. What a beautiful place!! If I had to leave Australia that is where I would move too.. only issue is you guys drive on the wrong side of the road...
I would trade all this nonsense to be able to live where you are! ... or NZ. lol. You guys can get out of the city and just... drive... I miss that so much from being from Southern California.
