'95 car has 2.7 motronic engine with OBD1 emissions management. It 's much easier to decat these cars as removing cats doesn't trigger check engine light .
Just back to the exhaust topic again but I do have wav's but i am a spaz at uploading them ...will be going to airfield day nowat North Weald so if you are there you can listen in realtime... I am sure Chaa will not mind running them both side by side for a comparison... Is there anywhere on the airfield that we can really open them up for a blatt by the way ...?? See you there Bash
Of course i dont mind. Every other 355 with a tubi that i have compared to has admited defeat to the might of the holy Capristo Dont need a great long straight to slaughter the oposition, just give me a start line and a couple of hundred meters STOP PRESS!!! Infact give me a 10 meter square, and i will dough nut the Fo Mo
found some ITO sound files here http://www.catsspeed.co.jp/test/FR_Parts/cs_sound/ito/ITO355_5.html there are 5 in total on this page adn some for the 360 too PS...they ahve the cats still in ..... Even better with no cats , apparently, ;-)
Chaa is right in that we all think our exhaust sounds the gonads. Having been to London with the guys yesterday, I was a little dissapointed at how my car sounded compared to some of the others, so I made up by bouncing it off the rev limiter!! Wobbler reckoned his 355 was standard and it sounded awesome. But they all paled into the background compared to Andys(??) 360 CS. **** knows what set up it has but it is totally unbelieveable. Chaa, d'ya fancy a donut competition at N.Weald?? Never tried it in the 355 coz the F1 makes it a little bit difficult to light em up, but I'm a dab hand in me Sunbeam, so should be fun laying down some circles in the Fezza!!!
Oh so thats his car that i may have seen pictures of then. With the carbon airbox. I like them Jap systems i know they are king.
Yep i have that picture in me computer. My cars ecu was done by hammon. It was done before i got the car, it was done in 2000.
Chaa, Missed you on Sunday mate. You should have come along. It was worth the journey And I can agree the 355 Capristo is noticeably louder than 348 Tubi, but both too different to compare. 348 Tubi is a deeper sounding note. I like both really, and we're spoilt to have all these different F car sounds Jas
Jas it looked great mate. But that kind of run even though as great as it was is not me mate. You know i will drive around a city center instead of through one if i can help it. Strange as though it may sound
ITO - awesume. BUT, it does make a 355 sound like a very powerful racing bike in my mind. Anyone agree? (he he.. I doubt it)
I actually am starting to think that the slightly deeper tones are good (coupled with higher notes) as it makes the exhaust sound like a car rather than a puny bike he he he...
Chaa, I'm like that too mate. There's nothing I dislike more than traffic! But sometimes it's just worth enduring the traffic. I'd happily do that once a year. Jas
