I have seen some videos on you tube of people taking the whole rear bumper off and/or the undertray. But others have said all u need to do is remove the top of the air box. But those people have not shown photos or videos of the steps necessary, exactly what to do, how to attach the controller and best place to mount the controller. I really would rather try my hand as installing it with the minimal amount of disassembly.

Anyone that can provide some clear videos or pictures and description? Would be much appreciated!

This mechanic installed a controller on my 458 and made a video of the process. This might help

Appreciate that video. Was hoping not to have to remove all of that to get it done. What is interesting is he said he took off the diffuser and undertray to do it from the bottom, but never really seemed to do much from the bottom throughout the video?

I had brought it in for extensive maintenance in addition to the installation of the controller. He had the diffuser off for transaxle oil change but apparently had to reach under to disconnect the harness. You could probably start out with the air cleaner plenum removed and see how far you can get it. If worse comes to worse then drop rear diffuser. It’s probably doable but will require some contortions. Most vids that I have seen show diffuser off using the top approach.
