I hadn't used my car for over a year and whenever I park my car and lock it now, the alarm goes off after a few minutes of being locked, or sometimes after 12 hours in the middle of the night.

Quite annoying when your in a restaurant and it's patrons comes up to you complaining about my car.

I read about the siren replacement because the batteries leak... I also do have the red light always on when driving, but those threads don't mention that the alarm chirps the whole time. Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Thomas

Most likely the alarm horn is dead, but you can also communicate with the alarm system ECU with a Ferrari diagnostic computer to see what is causing the problem.

I've had this very rarely (about twice in the last year)
Always when the weather has been a bit wet and I haven't used the car for a while.

Annoyingly the alarm always picks the middle of the night to sound.

I've been putting it down to a little dampness or low voltage but if there are known issues with sirens etc then I'll look a little closer.

Mine went off one night and I could not stop it. Drove to the Ferrari garage, horns honking, and they shut it off and replace the immobilizer thingy. Battery ruined the circuit board.

Now, one year later, all of a sudden I can not switch off the battery without the bloody thing going off. No idea what is going on there.

The stupid immobilizer is probably my only gripe with the car.
