'car crazy' with Piero Ferrari on the speed channel now

I saw that. It's pretty cool to see the factory and such. However the Meguiar's guy is annoying and wears too much makeup.

 

great show I'm gonna have to record it when it comes back on.

 

He reminds me of a cross between a sterotypical used car salesman and a game shoe host. If you ask me the makeup was not as bad as the dentures. Still the show was worth a look.

 

I missed some of it. Does anyone know if it will be on again?

 

One of the best shows I've ever seen, but did you see the looks Piero was shooting at Mr. Limp Wrist?? (puzzled, bewildered and might I add....a little frightened). Especially at the end when Piero went to shake LW's hand and he was given "the clasp"!

 

That is a very accurate description!!! Great show otherwise....

 

I caught that as well last night......kinda interesting.

 

Barry: the show is good, but ease up on the lipstick. You're scaring the kiddies.

 

I'd say to Barry Meguir to drop the "George Hamilton" tan and he'd be OK.

 

Does anyone know when this show was recorded as Piero spoke of Ferrari's factory support for the racing Maserati's MC12 and of their support of Maserati's road cars? Hasn't Fiat split Maser from Ferrari since ?

 

Lay off Barry, guys. He's a pay-shun-ate, pay-shun-ate man.

 

Piero had many great things to say, excellent episode of a show I otherwise never watch.

One of the most interesting comments was about Ferrari 4 seaters, that this was the type of car that Enzo drove daily, so there always has been and always will be this type of car in the Ferrari line-up. Sometimes I don't think these cars get the respect they deserve, but clearly it was very important to il Commendatore.

I also liked seeing the they have plants and trees inside the factory, and the comments that they prefer to invest in training their workforce rather than in automation.

 

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate the way he says that. I was saying it like that last night to my wife, just trying to get on her nerves. It's fun to do that.

 

Piero's got some shifty ass eyes doesn't he? Maybe he just couldn't stand looking at Barry any longer.

Baaahahaha! That couldn't be more true.

I wanted to see more of the Ferrari factory though. Barry is so full of himself.

 

I've never met Mr Meguiar, but he does seem to be a real enthusiast - I bet any of us would trade places with him ANY day.

I watch the show every now and then, and he interviews some interesting collectors and drivers too. There are not a few who are, um, overwhelmed by how close he leans in though! Bit of a space invader, but good fun to watch.

Some of his products are good too! I'll bet Roland actually uses the Meguiars leather treatment, rather than his Mothers...

 

I see him at Crystal Cove often. I think he is a super nice guy, approachable, and makes great products. I mean some super terrific stuff that is not bullsh*t like some of the high end fairy dust crap.

So if gets a show to promote the hobby, and hopefully his products...god bless him.

At the Claremont Concours Meguire's was kind enough to donate via Patrick Shim some real goodies. Class act.

 

The guy doing the interview was just annoying as hell! Very enjoyable just the same though.

 

Its on now, meguiar is one of those "close talkers" (seinfeld episode) with a permanent smile. Dream 34 had the description down to a T.
