you can count on the French/Citroen to provide 'unique/quirky' design solutions Paris 2016: Citroën CXperience is as sharp as citrus - Car Design News "The yellow upholstery has a woven texture on the seating and a knitted look on the doors. Zigzag patterns stitched into the seating are asymmetrical, angular and apparently random, again providing a lively contrast to the calm exterior. Citroen Cxperience 7 Unusually, the only leather in the cabin is in the form of padded mats on the floor. The seat frames and parts of the dashboard have been covered with an unusual flexible veneer a wooden fabric made up of thousands of laser-cut walnut triangles bonded to a cloth. HMI elements in the interior are linear and sharp cornered, in contrast with the rounded forms and inviting look of the sofa-style chairs. As a statement of intent, the CXperience is a loud shout for attention, underscoring that DS may have departed but it has not taken all of Citroëns mojo with it. This is surely one of the stars of the show." design analysis between the new Audi Q5 & the Skoda Kodiaq CUV's Paris 2016: Crisp Skoda Kodiaq clobbers confused Audi Q5 - Car Design News as I mentioned in a previous post, I hope Audi isn't coming off the rails from a design POV
I actually quite like the aesthetics of Skodas. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but they're handsome cars. I can't quite put my finger on precisely what it is that differentiates them for me, but they look tidy, tough, and without a lot of the crazy lines or bubbles that a lot of others are doing. All the best, Andrew.
Skoda/VW/Audi Design Vocabulary = Teutonic, BauHaus, conservative design execution......nothing goofy or OTT ...so far A well cut/fitting suit....no 'look at me' design nothing wrong w/that!
That literally translates to me as boring, unemotional and uncreative (but not necessarily bad taste I must emphasise). Cars, as well as most personal accessories, are a reflection of you and your personality. I just prefer a little more visual energy and excitement than a daily dose of blandness. that's why they make Vanilla ice cream & Double Chocolate Fudge Brownie Chip a flavor for every taste
I don't get it. Are you saying that Vanilla ice cream is boring, unemotional and uncreative? And bland? Or that Double Chocolate Fudge Brownie Chip is? Maybe a better metaphor would be the one comparing a plain sheet of blank white paper to the poem "Sonnet 116" by William Shakespeare handwritten on Rifle Paper Co. stationery in beautiful Bispo Nova font. : )
well if you don't get it, then I guess i can't help you if you have to 'explain' the punchline, then the joke probably wasn't funny
cool video on the place where I teach & featuring one of my former students and his involvement with the Chev Malibu: this is the stuff that makes it all worth it https://www.facebook.com/ccs/videos/10154292951828891/
