Those were the antithesis of the Pontiac ads, but no less effective. They knew who their customer was.
one of my all time favorite Pontiac ads from that era, which actually was a photograph has 12 words but tells a great story with the visual Image Unavailable, Please Login
always wondered about egress/ingress with a round door.... maybe that's why we never saw too many cars with them
Wonder if they heard the story of the Emperor had no clothes. Can't wait for Peter DeL to take aim at this one.
Guessing it was likely detailed at least once before Mr. Petersen had it redone in black. A few cool Richard Rowlands pics on its way to its most recent dose ... Got your PM. Thanks for activating the Wayne Signal! The Phantom I Jonckheere Coupe. I've seen this car in person and I'm a huge fan. Not a fan of the current color, however. I think this body may have originally been painted pale blue before being repainted in gold. Personally, I would have chosen either of those over black. Too cool, Wayne! Noticed in the most recent iteration that they lowered the turn signal arm so it no longer bisects the trim piece.

The Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild was the start of many designer's careers. Between 1930 and 1968 thousands of aspiring designers lent their model making/design skills to building entries to compete for the scholarship money GM was offering. They recently celebrated a reunion at Art Center College of Design and attached are photos: .Dean?s Garage | Fisher Body Craftsman?s Guild Reunion, October 2016
Seems Rezvani have a new car out - the Beast Alpha. It is essentially a re-bodied and re-engined Elise. The doors are interesting... Rezvani's New $200,000 Beast Alpha Has Funky SideWinder Doors And A Lotus Chassis
Interesting gathering. Dean's Garage also has some info on a book covering the current Camaro. In the excerpt that is quoted it tells how Boniface developed the concept for the current model while Tom Peters worked on a forward looking design. So how different was the Peter's developed idea? I do not like the current design - way too retro, way to over worked surfaces and an upper that is so squashed that it is a caricature.
it's a bit overcooked for my personal taste, but I certainly commend the effort to do a one-off design of your own making
