The best lines of the whole film, with the exceptions of Salieri's soliloquies, came next:

Emperor: "My dear young man, don't take it too hard. Your work is ingenious - it's quality work! And there are simply too many notes, that's all. Just cut a few and it will be perfect."

Mozart: "Which few did you have in mind, Majesty?"

I've seen Amadeus so many times that I could adjust recite that whole film line for line from start to finish from memory. Really, truly, a masterpiece of the cinema.

    "Well... there it is." ;)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

.so I thought they were on the right track developing luxury cars and then when they develop SuVs they can charge higher for them because of luxury rub off. Well, he got fired, so what's do insiders say? Or is this just the Korean management style?

Here's the story from USA Today
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hyundai fires U.S. CEO Dave Zuchowski

Korean automaker Hyundai has fired its U.S. CEO, Dave Zuchowski, as the company's car-heavy lineup struggles in a market currently dominated by sport-utility vehicles, crossovers and pickup trucks.

Jerry Flannery, who was serving as executive vice president and general counsel, will take over temporarily as CEO of the division, known as Hyundai Motor America.

The company had no immediate comment Wednesday on the reason for Zuchowski's termination.

“We appreciate Dave’s decade of service to Hyundai, especially his leadership as president and CEO, which has made us a stronger organization,” Flannery said in a statement. "I look forward to working closely with our dealers, affiliates, senior management and our talented and hard-working employees across the country to realize Hyundai’s full potential."

Zuchowski could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

Hyundai brand vehicle sales were up 2.1% through November, compared to the same period in 2015, according to auto industry tracker Autodata. That outpaced industry-wide sales, which were up only 0.1%.

But that masks Hyundai's troubles. The company has been relying heavily on less-profitable sales to fleet customers, namely rental-car agencies, Autotrader.com analyst Michelle Krebs said.

Hyundai's stalwart sedans, the Elantra and Sonata, have become less enticing to American shoppers amid low gas prices. Discounts as a percentage of Hyundai transaction prices rose 13% in November, compared to a year earlier, according to TrueCar.

"The companies doing particularly well are those that have sport-utility vehicles and trucks," Krebs said. "And the ones that are heavily reliant on cars are doing not as well. A company like Hyundai, when it heavily incentivized vehicles, it doesn't have big truck profits to offset those with, like Ford or GM or Chrysler."
It's not the first time Hyundai has carried out an abrupt transition in its American leadership team. The company's previous U.S. CEO, John Krafcik, exited in surprising fashion in 2013 after a celebrated tenure and was replaced by Zuchowski.

Krafcik later joined tech giant Google as CEO of the company's self-driving car project, where he announced plans this month to rename the division Waymo.

Zuchowski's swift exit underscores the fact that Hyundai's power structure still remains heavily rooted in South Korea, Krebs said.

"It is very much dictated by Korean management without a lot of listening to their execs in the U.S. market," Krebs said.

Flannery takes over as the Korean automaker attempts an ambitious plan: capitalizing on the launch a new luxury brand, Genesis, which was spawned from an upscale Hyundai model. He'll have to manage about 350 dealers nationwide who are dedicated to selling the new lineup.

Genesis is entering a crowded space, competing against the likes of luxury stalwarts like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi.

It may be a challenge for Zuchowski's successor to meet Genesis expectations.

"It takes years to build a luxury brand so if the Korean execs are expecting a quick win, it's not gonna happen," Krebs said.

I wrote a story once about the gullwing Ferrari famous illustrator Bob Peak did for Coco Chinetti. The car was shown at the NY Auto Show. I don't know if it had a price on it, more as an example so they could take orders for custom Ferraris. I think they did three different ones, one a wagon configuration. The 275P was eventually rebodied in Italy as a race car again and sold for big dollars in the modern days.
But the other day at the Art Center College library I came across a hefty book about Bob Peak, I think published by his son, and it had three Fords pictured in it that he designed, none of course as dramatic as the Ferrari and the book claims that he reached the point where he could have chosen to be a full time car designer or continue to design posters (he did some memorable ones like with Barbra Streisand, and another for that Brando movie set in Vietnam.
I was just wondering if the guys at Ford remember him working there, or did he do those jobs as an outside consultant, or what? Maybe he just didn't want to work in Detroit?

    Here's the story

Ferrari reveals its latest bespoke one-off: the SP 275 rw competizione

Maybe it's just me but it seems to me that this car --the 275 rw competitizione--slavishly just slaps on a few design features of the old 275GTB in order to sell the car to someone who wants a 275GTB style-wise but with all the modern day features. Reminds me of when Straman rather sheepishly showed a real 275GTB at a concours that a customer had ordered fitted with all the 250GTO design cues, including the grille cavity, etc. which looked ridiculous on a 275GTB.

What does the "rw" stand for? The customer's name?

And calling it "competizione" seems over-reaching when this car is obviously built for the street, it waters down the meaning of competizione which in my view should only be used on real raceable cars.

RW as in Rick Workman got just what he wanted with a one-off design Ferrari powered by the motor from the F12 tdF for his personal collection.
Just my opinion but I like the overall effect of the design better than anything else sold by Ferrari in the past few decades...

It is the classic/retro Ferrari loook they are famous for.
    Hard not to like it.
Just too many slots for me, otherwise quintessential Ferrari.
