Good point about which design came first. I was thinking more about the engine placement and how front engine race cars were falling out of favour. The success at LeMans the following year would reinforce that idea. Still there was the reluctance to use the race car motor placement (behind the seats) in a V12 street car.
As 'old school' as Borrani's are, I still love them on certain Ferraris. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those GTB 14 inch wheels look tiny but they do fit the scale of the car. The first car looks like a tame version of a Tom Meade special!
That is Hugh Ruthven's Fantuzzi bodied car. He has owned it a long, long time. Not a Tom Meade creation.
From Wiki: On relocating, it (Borrani) changed it's name to Costruzioni Meccaniche Rho S.p.A. (1955), at a time when 1/10 of the annual volume of about 1,500 wheels were for Ferrari racing cars; motorcycles such as Moto-Guzzi were other uses. Prototype cars such as the 1953 Buick Skylark are other examples.
Continued: But, checking, the 'Limited Production' 1953 Roadmaster Skylark had Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, not Borrani, like the prototype.
Just FYI The Ford GT was done in clay. Lots of it and lots of differing models. Took clays and made CAD surfaces from that.
Volvo Polestar......not bad........for a Volvo Seems to have some Aston Martin in its' DNA. Instrument panel is a big let down for me; looks like it came from a Ford F150.....(I'm partial to Audi interiors) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login https://www.designboom.com/technology/polestar-one-electric-car-10-18-2017/

High hood and trunk with a tiny greenhouse and big wheels seem to be a consistent theme. The overhang front and rear is rather tidy. It should have been white!
