Maybe it was Johnny's geometry assignment: Construct a car with as many geometric shapes as possible including squares, circles, rectangles, triangles, arcs, etc.
RR built a number of different staff cars and armoured cars at various times, both wars, for the military... looks like one of those. Probably by a coach builder on a RR frame.
This is why kids should never leave a Citroen 2CV and a VW Beetle together near the nuclear power plant!

Back in 2013, one of the students did this for the Ford sponsored city car project. Who knew? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If the next 8-series is sold to customers looking like that, I may have to start getting enthusiastic about BMW again. All the best, Andrew.
The real thing looks pretty fat and under-tired: http://www.auto.de/magazin/customs/uploads/auto/2017/12/BMW-8-series-003.jpg http://www.auto.de/magazin/customs/uploads/auto/2017/12/BMW-8-series-006.jpg
I guess, but not too promising when the car makes what are probably 20" wheels look small. But then again, with the camo you lose the trompe l'oeil effect of the wheel arch lip masking the true tire size.
As you say, it's hard to tell under the wrap. The concept looked interesting yet clean. I'd love it if that carried over into the production car. All the best, Andrew.
The Porsche page for their Mission E electric concept is pretty cool. Scroll down to see the layers of the design. https://www.porsche.com/microsite/mission-e/international.aspx#/reveal I hear the car is to be introduced next year, and the biggest change is the roofline to give more headroom to the passengers. Wonder if these doors will make the cut. Image Unavailable, Please Login
If I were a betting man, those doors will not be on the production car. Too much downside: side impact, body flex & rear egress/ingress to name a few. But........anything is possible
I just saw this: The Car Designer of the Century was an international award given to the most influential car designer of the 20th century. The election process was overseen by the Global Automotive Elections Foundation. The winner, Giorgetto Giugiaro, was announced at an awards gala on December 18, 1999 in Las Vegas. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_Designer_of_the_Century Seriously?
