On a different note, those in the Los Angeles area may be interested in the annual Art Center Car Classic being held Sunday, Oct 28: https://www.artcenter.edu/carclassic/ Always an interesting event to attend. Here's a list of guests/judges/speakers - https://www.artcenter.edu/carclassic/guests.php
Sadly, i can't make it this year. they are even planning a tour of the 3rd st campus! that, i would have liked to have done. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's about putting the driver in the prime position on the road. You don't have to think about each side of the car as much because you're in the middle. I love that new McLaren. Central driving position, good looks, and lots of performance. £1.75m is a bit steep though, even for the wealthy. A Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus 004S looks like a great deal by comparison. It's less than a quarter of the price! All the best, Andrew.
the long tail is almost a pastiche. much prefer the XJ15 from years ago; truly functional as a racer yet not silly for the road. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I cannot believe the surfacing on the canopy! It looks like a $500 kit car Image Unavailable, Please Login
i was at silverstone when these were run as a support race to the gp years ago, and i asked one of the driver's about them, and he said they were a real bear to drive. very unstable and dangerous. i have no personal experience with them, but i have always remembered that statement.
Jeremy Clarkson did a supercar compilation video years ago and I recall the same assessment from him. He said the XJ15 would randomly decide to throw you into a spin. All the best, Andrew.

Big time ball-drop, even worse than Jim G’s “whatever they are’s”.....built on a Miata platform? How they got from the ‘412’ design to this is a conundrum.....
I have the exact car in the picture currently in the shop for work. I have driven it and its a blast , didn't find it unstable .
thats the impression i got from the pro - at the limit is where it exhibits its faults. still, a good looking car.
Over th e last several years there has been much hand wringing over Ferrari Design. Pininfarina is no longer the sole designer for Ferrari, and Flavio Manzoni and the in-house design team are driving the design direction for the brand. I believe the in-house team is doing a fantastic design job keeping the Ferrari design language alive. I have the utmost respect for what Pininfarina did for Ferrari Design for decades. Time for a new era. https://magazine.ferrari.com/en/events/2018/10/10/news/ferrari_red_dot_design_awards-47658/
