They just need something a little less droopy for that side inlet and it'd be excellent.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

This looks like they are trying to sell it to Maserati. Isn't that the 4C they did on the photo upper right?.

The wheels are usually done by the same team that does the exterior design. Some companies have special studios that specialize in lamps and wheels. All the cars I ever worked on, the exterior team did the wheel designs. Ferrari’s wheel style is 5 spoke designs. Different brands sometimes try to have a signature design for their wheels. Some brands are all over the map.

But doesn’t that line of thinking make the presumption that they are making their cars ‘unattractive’ on purpose? I can tell you that would never be the case.

Just saying that gasoline cars may end up getting the runner-up design of the options management choses.

Example: Same basic car with changes between years. Which seems the most pleasing? I know it is a matter of personal preference, but the blue car is far more attractive to me.

FYI, historically, the first year of production was usually the best looking. Not always, but like movie/book sequels, the original idea was usually the best iteration. We could argue the 308>328. 458>488>F8 as to which was the best execution, but for the domestic mfg, the 1st was usually the best.
It will be interesting how the design language of electric vs. gasoline vehicles evolves over the next decade or two. Should they look different? Will anyone care? Many unanswered questions.
I can say one thing, the designers will come from different backgrounds and training in the future. The old school ‘stylist/designer’ will eventually fade away, making way for a different breed of car/mobility designer.

The different drivetrain architecture of electric cars combined with the planned autonomous car takeover will certainly open the doors for designers to create substantially different looking vehicles from what we have now. Theoretically, some of them could be quite good looking but they may appeal to a different part of our brains. I think that as people are accepting of the new technologies, they will also be prepared for some radically different looking vehicles. Vehicles that do not need to necessarily fill the desire for a *****'n car, but will be attractive as art or product or something else.
No one is arguing about 458>488 :D

The day when hood heights can come down will allow for newer proportions. Per Pro requirements are a different matter.

Pininfarina EF7 and Gagliardi Vex kit car.

Does anyone know of a program in which I can easily throw in a 3D model and a few lamp lights, then have the car move in real time so I can see how the reflections travel?

There are a number of animation software programs.
I don't have the names of them, however. maybe someone else can chime in.
