Yup, that's up there for that award. Saw it at the LA Auto Show several yrs ago. Was hard to believe someone actually built the thing.
All of my career as a car designer, I've been passionate about Ferrari and their designs. However pre 1970, no one was ever given credit for the look of some of Ferrari's most iconic designs. The coach builders and some of the design houses (Poininfarina, Ghia, Bertone) seemed to garner the credit, but no designers were ever given the accolades deserved. The recent issue of Auto Italia for the first time that I'm aware, gives credit to the in-house designer responsible for the awesome Ferraris of the '50's-'60's. 250 SWB, GTO, GT Lusso, 275 GTB, 330 P3, 250 LM, etc. These were the cars in my mind that defined Ferrari design, and set the tone for every Ferrari that followed. And while Pininfarina was THE Ferrari design house after that initial period, this gentleman did Ferraris designs until the late '60's, and no one including myself ever knew or heard about him. This is a gross injustice as far as i can tell, and I'm happy that his name and recognition are finally seeing the light of day. Edmondo Casoli was Enzo's designer, until he wasn't. His history at Ferrari is one that needs to be told, for the design community and the Ferrari community at large. I'm hoping someone else will follow up and find out more about this designer who had such a significant impact on Ferrari history. I can't imagine how great it would be to have a portfolio of those cars. Unbelievable. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Although this Mazda was posted in the profile view here in this thread back in about November, I happened to come across a rear view this morning. Looks like the famous Bangle Butt has been superseded by the bigger and more better Kardashian Butt! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hello everyone, this is the Sketch Monkey and today I am going to try to fix the Marcos Manta. This will not be easy but I hope you all are happy with the results! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Marcos had a relatively long run as a constructor of quick but somewhat quirky small displacement sports cars; notable at first for a wooden monocoque & Frank Costin aerodynamics! https://www.marcosheritage.com/historyofmarcos here are some shots of my favourite, the massively weird, totally unsuccessful, one-off Mantis XP of 1968. Love it! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
