My 308 has been sitting for several months while I was out of town working. I would like to circulate the oil before starting it just in case it is dry. Is just pulling the fuel pump fuse and cranking it over until there is oil pressure acceptable?

Just start the damn thing. A couple of months is nothing. You will be just fine. If you really want too..squirt a bit of oil in each cylinder roll it over with the plugs out...reinstall the plugs and fire it up.

I got a little paranoid when I started my Toyota Van yesturday and the clanking was frightening. I shut it off right away and then re-started and in a second or two no noise. I just didn't want to hear that from a Ferrari!!!!!!

No worries..just start it up. It will be fine. They are not as fragile as many think. Actually they are pretty damn tough..

If you're that concerned pull fuel pump fuse and crank for 10 sec wait 10 sec then crank again for 10 sec. Install fuse and fire up
