I am looking to switch my car insurance for my 1978 308 GTS. I currently have a policy with allstate from when I bought the car. I added it to my existing policy just to get it insured and never changed it 8 years ago. I am looking into Haggerty or Grundy. I was wondering if anyone can suggest any others and give me some feedback in regards to customer service and god forbid a claim. I want to find the best company. Let me know your experiences

    Thanks

I highly recommend Chubb as I have all my insurance with them (auto and home). I had some other Ferrari's with Haggerty due to them being registered in FL but garaged in NJ and at the time they were the only ones willing to write the policy. With the new 458 Chubb wrote the policy and it was 48% cheaper than Haggerty. Haggerty was very good to deal with on the 1 claim I had with them on the 16M (cracked rear carbon fiber diffuser for almost $30k paid without any questions or rate adjustments) but the premium was way to much. I have had claims with chubb on a BMW and MB and never had a problem.

I've used JC Taylor for collector car insurance for 15 years. Pleased with service, coverage and price. Very good alternative.

I use Barrett-Jackson with the policy being written by Chartis. I pay about $550 a year for my 348.
