Is the Capristo fitted in the photos? Your tyres are Corsa "System", not Corsa. What wheels are they? ENJOY!!
very, very sweet ride Yasser. look forward to actually seeing the thing with the mods. you just cant help yourself can you?
why was it lowered more at the rear ? defies logic but it looks great scud lowered his too from memory
yes lowered more at rear. car was a bit nose heavy and i still wanted some clearance around town. and correct - i cant help myself. will probably bring it tmw morning to sfr yep - capristo is on (after a lot of hassle and a replacement capristo)
perhaps some mods to the front springs are in order? i recall you being annoyed at front-scraping on moderate braking as it seems a bit soft.
decreasing the shock travel shouldn't make it stiffer , just less travel for the shock but the same outcome , is that correct master ff
Lowering it slightly softens the ride, (on a road car with heavily preloaded springs), and the consequential increased droop travel makes it more compliant on uneven surfaces. BUT, the lowered centre of gravity, and increased camber gain gives the impression of being firmer, due to less body roll. Bump travel is reduced of course, so you will feel the bump stops earlier, but the shocks are not well calibrated to work with these, so damping will go out the window.. meaning less grip under heavy braking/cornering. The squat (good thing) and dive (bad thing) will increase too. Much more advisable to fit stiffer springs when lowering. Does the 430 have titanium springs like 360CS???? I doubt it, but don't know.
