My daughter surprised me for B-day. She painted and gave me as a gift, the famous GTO that was recently sold. Regards, Alberto P.s some examples:
Quite the artist, how old is she? My daughter is an aspiring artist as well @ 15 and already taking classes @ Parsons in NYC.
Congratulations, my wife went to Parsons also. I'm surrounded by artists Best of luck with your daughters luck with her classes! regards, Alberto
can't help it but to ask this question. Is Art Center in Pasadena, CA more famous than Parson? which one is better for architect? I am absolutely clueless...
Fame is extremely relative. I think after having two, maybe all 5, artists in my family, it really boils down to the choice they make. Some people are auto didactic, that so much so, do not need to attend any school at all and just try at what they do best. In the process, save a lot of money. My wife keeps evolving, I think she's extremely eclectic and talented, whereas my daughter started painting Japanese oriented pieces, now...cars. Who knew Architecture, now that's a tough one. Europe is great on that aspect. None of this, or at least very little, applied to when I was young. My major is Economics, but I ended up being an agriculture professional, not by choice, but by need. Oh, and I also restore cars on the side. Dino is a favourite. Architecture, is another passion. Best of luck! Regards, Alberto
have her look into Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California, they have a great illustrator program as well as automobile design program.
Architecture as in for construction and the likes? Can't speak for CA, but Parsons and FIT in NYC are not for Architects. They are for everything related to fashion and art, such as painting, drawing, sewing / making clothes, designing, textiles, etc. My sister and bro-in-law went to FIT and now my daughter, as stated further above, is attending classes @ Parsons. The best architectural school in NYC is Copper Union, however you have to have stellar grades to get in, since the only accept 15% of applicants. I have a friend that went there, back when there was no tuition and you can only get in on a scholarship basis.
Thank you, she is trying her best, yet, in reply to Scott, she is getting to be too grown up top go back to school, or not? I will have to ask her... Regards, Alberto
WOW!!! Also love her name and my Niece has same. My wife is Valeria, daughters Alessia and Valentina and son Luca! Very Irish family like yours!
