Looking to order some Ferrari parts from the UK, 2000.00 dollars worth, and wondering how much import duty I should expect to pay. The seller doesn't know and having a hard time finding answers. Wondering if it's even worth the hassle. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I ordered from MCP this year and I don’t think I paid any duty.

I sell car parts abroad all the time and, at least for merchandise going out of the USA, anything below $2500 is duty exempt.

I ordered a part for my Pista which they plan to ship next month from the UK. I provided them a vin which substantiates the vehicle is in the US. I found any tax they charged to be reasonable.

New or used? an individual or a business?

An individual can put together a simple invoice, the couriers usually provide a template to fill in, then US customs will use that as the basis of value for duties.

These would be new parts from a business

They just need to issue the courier with an invoice net of any VAT etc then, plus extra copies attached for US customs. I thought it may be an individual who may not know the process of sending abroad.
