    I have some friend flying out to LA in May and they are looking to rent a somewhat cool car to drive from LA and return in SF---where they are flying out from. Not necessarily looking for an exotic, but something more fun than your standard rental.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hertz has a "fun collection" what cars depends on where you rent ad I'm not sure if they do one way rentals. Just try the website and see what options it gives you. At least they are traveling between two major cities, that should improve chances. Don't know of any more exotic options that would do a one way but anythings possible if you're willing to pay for it....

    I used TripAdvisor to find a rental agency in LA... I think it was Fox rental cars. Got a Dodge Challenger and returned it in San Jose. Didn't cost much (no additional fee for the SJ drop-off), and what a fun drive! That car's got some oomph!
