I'm struggling to figure out how to secure a modern car seat in my '88 Testarossa. For modern cars, you use the LATCH attachment system, but of course that doesn't exist in this car. As a fallback, you can use the seatbelt, but the way that works, you run the lap belt + shoulder harness through the seat and bind them together with a little piece of metal.

But this doesn't work with the automatic seatbelt. Is there a way to disable the automatic seatbelt so it always stays all the way back?

Unplug the control unit. In the passengers footwell on the left side, the side of the console is a leather covered panel. The control unit is mounted to the back side.
