Car seat in Ferrari F8, Disable air bag possible?

Looking for a concrete answer on disabling the airbag in a F8.

I have done a little googling on the subject and have read everything I can seem to find on the subject but I am struggling to get a solid answer.

I did get the mercedes sensors out of UK and attempted to put them on the front seat of the car with a little weight in there. With the seat belt latched and unlatched I did not see an airbag light off indicator anywhere.

Now, a few things to note about my testing. I did only lay the sensors on the seat. With some weight placed on top and myself behind the wheel I did not see anything change to indicate if the airbag was disabled. I tried latching the seatbelt and unlatching but did not power cycle the vehicle.

I then had the car running, walked over to the passenger seat and sat in it, again latched and unlatched the seatbelt but saw no lights come on or anything indicating the airbag was disabled.

The big question is, has anyone been able to get the airbag to be disabled? If so how?
