    Dear Mods,
If this is in the wrong place or out of line please feel free to edit/delete as you see fit.

I decided to load up the 365 with my son, my neighbor, and his godson and go to the IRM (Illinois Railway Museum) today. I'd forgotten how nice it is there during the week when it is virtually empty. While we were there, they told me they are having their annual car/transportation show this Sunday 8/1/10. The volunteer engineer I spoke with said they have over 400 pieces of equipment registered.

I have no connections with the IRM and can not vouch for what they will or will not have on hand. I won't be able to attend b/c I'm going out of town; however, I thought I would let anyone interested know. From the pictures on their website it looks like they mostly get domestic iron for the car show. The following information is from their website. http://www.irm.org/

August 1 - Sunday - 20th Annual Vintage Transport Extravaganza
The past comes alive through the display of antique autos, trucks, fire engines, tractors, motorcycles and buses-hundreds of vehicles assemble throughout the Museum campus. Ride the streetcars to the various display areas. Interurbans and diesel coach trains will be running on the mainline! "Music at the Museum"--the West End Jazz Band will entertain. (This event only: Call 815-923-4391 for information about displaying your vintage vehicle.)

As a side note, the car ran amazingly well for most of the day. The oil didn't go over 200, the water was under 170 and the car just ran and ran. Of course, we ran into rush hour traffic around O'Hare on the way home and the car became hot and ornery.

I made it to the show, and it was good. I really enjoyed the 1903 Baker, 1922 Mack Model AB and 1960 Jeep FC-150 the most. I did see Chelle's 250 GTO-R there, but didn't have a chance to say hi like I did last year at Meadowdale
