My university is putting on a small car show on April 16. Ferraris and Lamborghinis are more then welcome and would probably easily win the Import Class! All profits from the concessions go to the club I am Treasurer of, SAE Mini-Baja. And any profit on the show will help out our SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Chapter and allow us to visit factorys and invite guest speakers for our members. I would love to see some exotics make it here that day. If you have any questions on location, directions, what else will be there etc. feel free to PM me, or email the gentleman on the attached flyer. Hope to see some of you there!

Just a reminder that our car show will be this Saturday! Any car is welcome. The weather for this area this weekend looks like a few clouds and high 60's to early 70's. Great car show weather! It'd be great to meet some fellow F-chatters and see their fantastic cars. It'll be a nice drive, so come out and see us behind the stadium on campus E Williams St and S Joplin Ave here in Pittsburg, KS. Some food and refreshments will be there and believe me your cars will steal the show. Hope to see you there!

Will plan on being there with 77762. BTW will the local peace officers mind if we let the cars stretch their legs on the way in? Would be a shame if they did not.

LOL, roads outside of Pittsburg tend to be a pretty empty... I wish you a pleasant drive out here, though I can not promise much.

Any quick use of the rubber on your driving tires will most likely... wait, nevermind campus police has an S10 pickup, just keep your foot down and smoke/distance should save you. :)

A shame to hear your out of town Chris, perhaps next year. Anyone in the KC area want to run the best sounding car I have ever heard a few miles down to Pittsburg? ;)

Anyone else in the KC area want to make a run down the highway. Could be fun with a few of your friends, and their cars, in your wake. :) It's a little over an hour from Overland Park... come on, live dangerously.

Any other takers? There was a black Lamborghini Gallardo here last year, and I know of several stunning vehicles in the KC area... Come on your bikes come in your F-cars just find a way to get down here and be a part of our little gathering. :)

    No other takers?!

As the 'the mafia' said roads are pretty empty around here, but of course I can't promise you won't see a single soul. It is an excellent place to open up your cars though.

You, and I, know you will will amaze the entire population of Pittsburg and make the show worth the trip for those who are going to come. I'd enjoy meeting you and can show you around a bit if you choose, or you can show up grab a bite to eat and go explore the local roads. Anyways, I'll leave this thread on this note...

we'd all love to see you and your cars so come goin us this Saturday!

Any questions on directions etc. feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected], hope to see you there!

Well, I just went for a drive today and discovered a few gorgous open country roads! I'd love to see a few F-cars or Lambo's , and I'm sure you'll enjoy these roads (I didn't see a soul for awhile :) ). Everyone is looking forward to seeing the TR and your beautiful car could be there too! It's a short drive from KC, a little over an hour and a half from Johnson County, and you'll steal the show, I guarantee it. Last call, the show's tomarrow and I hope to see you there. :)

Well, I'd say the car show was a success! It was a beautiful day, over 40 great cars (and some nice bikes), and an amazing yellow TR that won its class! Thank you so much for making it out for our show Steve, it just wouldn've been the same with you and your car! :) We will have another show next year and we'll try to make it bigger and better. I'll keep everyone informed and hopefully a larger selection of F-cars will make it here! Thanks again Steve it was great to meet you, talk Ferrari's and have the chance to sit in your car! I hope to see you again next year. Take care all, and happy driving!

Joe, ya'll put on a nice show. I really enjoyed myself. For all reading, I do have to qualify my class win. The boys put me in the non-Big 3 class which included the TR and a dragster. I am quite honoured that I beat out the dragster. Thanks for a very enjoyable day. Will certainly be back again next year. Joe, let me know if you are ever in the area and we'll get you out for a ride.
