There will be a car show saturday November 13th from 4PM on @ Giovanni's in Suwanee, the address is 3630 Peactree Parkway , Suwanee 30024, and the number is 770-232-1122.
Brian Skeotch, president of the Lotus chapter has organized the monthly event, and I hear next month, Ferrari will be the feature marque, so plan to attend!
The setting of Giovanni's is excellent with the outdoor seating next to the cars, and there is never an entry fee, just pay for your food.

    See you there!

I had fun there last month too. However, at 5pm on the 13th I will be just leaving the Concours and getting ready for the Black Tie Ball at the FFQC in N'awlins.

Here's another event taking place on the 13th that might be of interest to some of you, and it doesn't conflict, timewise.

The Atlanta Car Model Enthusiasts (ACME) are holding the annual Southern Nationals model car show and swap meet at the Smyrna Community Center on Atlanta Road in Cobb County.

The show is from 10 AM to 4 PM and the theme this year is "Prancing Horses" celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Ford Mustang and the 50th anniversary of Ferrari in the USA. General admission is only $2; children under 12 are free.

I will be going to the show (via Ferrari 328) and then continuing on to Giovanni's, weather permitting. Y'all come!

Well, maybe I'll have to uphold F-car honor. Any Lamborghinis out there?

I was just informed by Brian that the show starts @ 4Pm because of the lack of daylight.

    Enjoy the show!

I hope all Atlanta area FChatters who aren't at the events in New Orleans or North Carolina can make plans to meet on Saturday at Giovanni's. Even if you go to the Flowery Branch show it isn't that far from there to the restaurant. Weather forecast looks good.

Great turnout! I'd say over 30 cars total (about 3x last month) including about 8 Ferraris, 3 of which were TRs.

The other cars included lots of Lotuses (of course), along with at least one of each of the following: Aston Martin, Cobra, Maserati, Mustang, Porsche and Triumph. Oh, and a late-arriving BMW. (But where were the Lamborghinis?)

I should have a few photos later in the week.

Oh, yes, the model car show in Smyrna was fun, too. I got permission to park my 328 at the front curb, and when I wasn't inside at the show, I sat on the wall near the car and fielded questions. Everyone was appreciative of the car and was glad I brought it.

And if that wasn't enough, Stephane (Scaledetails), who was vending at the show, drove his recently-acquired Testarossa around and parked behind me. So if having one 1/1-scale Ferrari there wasn't mind-blowing enough, now there were two! And later on, a fellow showed up with a Viper GTS, in nearly the same shade of red, and joined the queue.

I've been going to that show for years and never saw one exciting car parked in front of the building, and this year we had three. What fun!
