    sounds like fun. any thoughts of a driving route?
    also, I know of an exotic animal refuge in Okeechobee that could use some financial help.

    Maybe we could start at a MIA animal refuge & drive up to Okeechobee & back and have all the proceeds of the drive split between 2 or 3 places

    I'm thinking we can get a little presentation at each place & some snacks, bring your checkbook or cash, make a donation then do the same at the next place.

    2 or 3 places spread out should make for a fun day & help the animals as well

    Do you have a date in mind? I really want to make sure I can participate.

    The Animal Adventures link wasn't working.

    Another suggestion: Visiting a shelter and donating funds. http://www.humanesocietymiami.org (someone would probably have to keep an eye on me to prevent me from adopting all of them while no one is looking) :)

    Will look for a date that doesnt conflict w my other stuff when I'm home

    If you are afraid of large dogs then help small ones & cats etc

    What about BIG Cats ? Lions & Tigers & Bears Oh My :) They need love & help too

    Maybe we can do something w Miami Seaquarium or a manatee, dolphin rescue program as well so we have the Earth & Sea covered

    I am going to Animal Adventures tomorrow. Believe it or not, to visit our exotic pet that we donated to them 2 weeks ago. I know it sounds F'ed up, but my wife wants to make the visit. We will bring a bunch of fruits and vegetables for the animals.
    It is a leisurely drive for approx 1 hour.
    They also have approx 12 tigers including 2 white tigers, a few lions and some others.

    I am going there tomorrow.
    Note: it is very easy to get to but for the last 1/2 mile it is on a dirt road. but it is not bad at all.

    Busch Wildlife is in Jupiter and is very nice and I know that they get alot of visitors ($). So maybe they don't need as much help as other organizations.

    William, if you can include Animal Adventures that would be great. I know that they could use the financial assistance (they are non-profit). We don't have to make the drive up there but maybe they can get some financial benefit from a car show or rally as you originally suggested.
