Wow. This morning I saw this Bianco 550 on Instagram. Gorgeous. I was looking at the registry in Nathan’s book and if I saw it correctly perhaps there were only 5?! 2 in the US? I have twice seen a white Boxer. The 550 does not look bad in white. I like odd ball factory applied colors inside and out. Anything from the factory is good to go.
@tazandjan Terry, I tried to start a "conversation" with you and Nathan regarding the registry in his book. I got this message below (didn't know the reason). White became a trendy car colour again in the middle of the first decade of the 2000s. It was out of fashion since, what, the mid 80s, Testarossa era. I remember when I first got given a white car for a review, in 2006, a Mercedes. My eyes were on stalks - white cars then were like pink cars now. Now, so many white supercars, including V12 Ferraris. So rare for a Maranello.
the interior is actually red not bordeaux, and has the Schumacher versions sport seats, cant remember what you guys call them.
That would absolutely make sense given the reported Illinois license plates. Fortunate guy and successful entrepreneur deserves such a beautiful car.
There's a white over red 575 that's been for sale for a long time in the UK. Being LHD doesn't help it's case either. @tazandjan Ah. I was just asking you and Nathan via PM if you guys maintained an electronic registry like in the back of the blue version of his book I bought so a guy could easily sort by 550 and Bianca as an example to see how many were made and what the configurations were. No biggie....just figured I’d ask. I might have noted on Fchat somewhere that I’m on a patient long term search for the right 550 (not turned off by driver miles). I enjoy the hunt about as much as the ownership. 40 years ago when we were kids my grandpa had a tagged Yuma yellow 1969 Meyers Manx and in 2015 my “spousal agreement” was I could get and build a Manx Baja racer if it had a lot of constraints (Bruce Meyers didn’t make many)....and the 2 year search for the right one was a fun challenge (I ultimately ended up finding another 1969 tagged Yuma Yellow Manx 5 bodies different in the serialization than my grandpas)....my 550 “spousal agreement” is tied to my 50th bday in 3 years so I’m looking forward to the hunt and compiling data and tracking prices while working towards the horizon.
I think it looks weird in white. I love a testarossa in white, but maybe that's because i loved watching Miami vice as a kiddo. lol
Well you must have astonishingly good eyesight to see paddles in those two pictures. Why has is got a 550 front end and why does all the text say 550 Maranello then?
@jtremlett @Graz I don’t know Graz so I thought maybe it was his car. In Nathan’s book all 5 Bianco 550’s that I saw had the Bordeaux interior. I didn’t check the 575 so if it is Graz car or he has intimate knowledge of the car the info he shared would make sense.
The car in question did indeed belong to Pharell Williams , he was the original owner. It's a very unusual car in that it is a white 550 with the rare sport seat option and red interior. My friend owned this car for several years before selling it to the current owner and I was told it was the last 550 built.
